Canopus Story

Thousands of years ago, in ancient Egypt, nobles did not only seek strength they searched for immortality and perfection. In the pure Egyptian sky, the star Canopus shined as one of the brightest guiding stars. It served as a beacon for travelers and a compass for navigation on the Nile River.

The city of Alexandria was also known by the name Canopus, inspired by this star. During the Pharaonic era, the city of Canopus was considered one of Egypt’s most important ports. Later, the Romans were inspired by the name and gave it to one of the most famous streets in Alexandria when building their new city, which is now known as Fouad Street.

At Canopus, we were inspired by this spirit and the greatness of this star to redefine the concept of Egyptian identity in sportswear and athletic apparel.

We did not simply want to create sports clothing; instead, we aimed to reshape the entire concept of sportswear by combining the elegance of nobility with the strength of warriors.
